As I neared the end of my pregnancy, doctors informed me that my son was not going to survive and would arrive earlier than expected. Despite listening to his heartbeat all night, in the morning, my son was born without breathing. Upon returning home from the hospital, I walked into his room and saw his empty bassinet, which made me burst into tears. However, I soon noticed a little white kitten curled up and sleeping in the bassinet. This kitten was one of four born to my cat a few months earlier and turned out to be deaf. Holding him brought me comfort and calm, allowing me to cry myself to sleep. The next morning, I realized that the kitten had licked my dried tears and had been following me ever since. When I was pregnant, doctors informed me that my son would arrive early and would not survive. Unfortunately, this turned out to be true, as I gave birth to him shortly after in the hospital, but he never managed to breathe.

As soon as I walked through the door, my eyes were drawn to the bassinet where my son used to sleep. It was a touching moment and I couldn’t help but shed a few tears. But then something caught my eye: a little white kitten snoozing peacefully in the same bassinet.

I am excited to share that my cat recently gave birth to a litter of four adorable kittens. One of them, the little one currently curled up in bed, was born deaf. Despite his inability to hear, he is still as adorable and precious as his brothers.

As I lay next to him in bed, tears streamed down my face in a way I had never experienced before. Finally, exhaustion overtook me and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I noticed that the kitten was gently licking my dried tears.

As soon as I saw him sitting on my computer monitor, I realized he needed my help. To help him, I spent long hours researching his hearing impairment.

Slowly emerging from the shadows, I felt Mikey following my every move, taking a step forward with each of mine.

When I look at it, it is not just a mere pet to me, nor can I categorize it as just a feline or an animal. Rather, I sense his magnificent spirit that willingly became my companion when I desperately needed it.

My decision to become a photographer was heavily influenced by Mikey’s handsome countenance and kind nature.

Today, my little one has reached the age of 12 and has grown to become an integral part of my identity. Our days are now full of joy and fun.
