American photographer Evan Schiller and his wife were quite “stunned” by the scene in which they witnessed a small baboon rush to “scold” the lion who ate its mother, then could rush over and hug it the next minute. the enemy wanted to suckle it and was gently caressed by this huge animal.
Their thrilling encounter took place in a wildlife park in northern Botswana.

A group of baboons quickly climbed a tree from the bushes as they were stalked by lions. |
However, the three baboons suddenly tried to run away. As a result, a mother baboon was holding her baby and fell into the lion’s mouth. |
The baby baboon, less than a month old, escaped death and left his mother’s arms and rushed to the base of a tree to find a safe shelter. But he did not rush to climb up to take shelter, but stopped and screamed at the lion sitting below. |
The baboon with the puppy screamed in anger at the lion who responded with roars. The scene looks crazy, the photographer commented. |

Tiny baboon facing lioness. |

The lioness scratches the tree trunk every time the baby baboon wants to escape. |
The lion didn’t seem to want to catch the little animal right away but wanted to play “cat and mouse” for a while. |
The lioness put the baby baboon in her mouth, but did not bite it, but gently placed it on the ground right in front of her. |
The baby baboon instinctively buried its head in the lioness’s chest to suckle. |
The two lionesses were then distracted by a male lion. |
Not missing the opportunity, the father baboon quickly rescued his child from the lion’s clutches. |
The baby baboon was then safe in his father’s arms. |
