Ferrari 812 Superfast is a supercar with a V12 engine first launched by Ferrari at the Geneva Motorshow 2017 to replace its predecessor F12 Berlinetta. Ferrari has made a number of engine and appearance upgrades to the 812 Superfast.
Developed based on its elder brother F12, Ferrari 812 Superfast inherits the beauty, accompanied by significant improvements in both exterior, engine as well as performance. The car has a similar appearance to the F12 Berlinetta, however the design lines of the 812 Superfast are softer, the air vents are designed to be larger to create a sporty feel as well as increase the vehicle’s operating efficiency. With innovations in appearance, the 812 Superfast looks “thinner” than the F12 Berlinetta with a somewhat bulky appearance.
Ferrari 812 was launched at a time when the Tailor Made department strongly developed Ferrari models with many groundbreaking ideas. It can be said that one of the most chosen ways of personalization is to bring legendary racing colors to modern cars. In addition to the 70th anniversary cars, the Tailor Made department has brought unique personalized cars such as the 488 Pista Spider “Nikki Lauda” or the Ferrari 812 Superfast in the colors of the Ferrari 250 SWB driven by Famous racing driver Stirling Moss – Who passed away not long ago.
Talking about the dark blue 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, the car raced with Stirling Moss and won all three races it participated in. After that, the car was driven by driver Mike Parkes and won 3 championships and 1 finish in 2nd place.
This 812 wears a satin blue “Blu Scozia Opaco” coat, the color is somewhat brighter than the 250 GT SWB prototype with an attractive matte paint effect. However, details such as the white decals on the door or the lines running across the hood are accurately reproduced with those on the prototype.
The car’s interior is made up of black leather combined with prominent white stitching and the Ferrari logo on the seat backrest. With an extremely sporty style, the interior gives the occupants a sporty, attractive feeling. At the same time, the car was also built with a right-hand drive version, similar to the car that Mr. Stirling Moss once drove.
According to the owner, in 2018, he had the opportunity to admire Mr. Stirling Moss’s 250 GT SWB and really felt like and inspired by a legendary racing car. That’s why he decided to “refresh” the color of the more than 60-year-old racing car by bringing his own Ferrari 812 Superfast later. Explaining the choice of satin paint color, he shared that he wanted all the details and attractive lines of the Italian supercar to stand out, not be submerged like dark colors.
The car is equipped with a V12 engine with a capacity of 6.5 liters, producing 789 horsepower and 717 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels of the car through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, thanks to which, the 812 Superfast is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of more than 340 km. /H.
