The Lamborghini V12 Vision Gran Turismo was officially launched in Monte Carlo in the final round of the Gran Turismo Championship e-sports racing tournament.
This tournament final round, recognized by the FIA – International Automobile Federation, could not be a more perfect launch event for a car model dedicated to gamers like the V12 Vision Gran Turismo. The car displayed at Monte Carlo will soon be available in the racing game Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4 from the first quarter of next year.
Similar to Vision Gran Turismo concept models from Jaguar, Bugatti, Zagato, Hyundai or dozens of other brands, the Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo design is quite exaggerated to be as eye-catching as possible. The difference that creates the unique ego of the Lamborghini supercar is that the car has the ability to roll in real time (verified at the event) instead of just on paper and in games.
Even though it is only a car for entertainment purposes, Lamborghini still equips the V12 Vision Gran Turismo with practical technology. The vehicle’s powertrain is a hybrid similar to the new Sian launched last month, with a total capacity of 819 horsepower (of which the V12 engine contributes 808 horsepower), providing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, maximum speed 350 km/h.
Lamborghini Sian is the first hybrid car mass produced in the history of the Italian brand. The car uses an Aventador chassis that combines many new electrochemical technologies such as supercapacitors to replace common lithium-ion batteries.
