Star Wars: Darth Bully Maguire Busts a Move in the Duel of the Fates
A new fan-edit showcases the infamous Bully Maguire busting moves as he appears in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’s biggest fight scene.
Tobey Maguire’s Bully Maguire has returned, and this time he’s showing off his lightsaber-wielding moves in an epic, hair-flipping battle against Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
Matan Animation Studios has gained an immense amount of popularity with its series of fan-edit videos that seamlessly merge Spider-Man 3’s Tobey Maguire into a variety of famous movie scenes. The latest, titled “Darth Bully Maguire: Duel of the Fates” sees Maguire taking on the role of Darth Maul in the Duel of the Fates scene from 1999’s Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
When it was released to theaters in 2007, Sam Raimi’s highly anticipated Spider-Man 3 opened to largely mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, with many criticizing the bizarre take on Peter Parker’s symbiote-possessed “dark” side. Years later, some fans have since found humor in Maguire’s bizarre performance, with the internet creating a plethora of memes centered around what has now been granted the title of “Bully Maguire.”
Matan’s latest video is far from Bully Maguire’s first time wielding a lightsaber, however, as one of its previous videos, titled “Darth Bully Maguire,” showcased the funk-thrusting hero stealing the thunder of Darth Vader’s most intense scene from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
